This is my first tattoo of two, and it’s the Greek symbol for Jupiter. My mom and sister have the same one, in the same spot.
One of my earliest memories was when I was about four, and mom and I were doing the usual “I love you more” “no I love you more” fights. Always the hipster, four year old me ended it by saying that I loved her over the moon, past Jupiter and back. I didn’t really know the order of the Solar System so I was just hoping that Jupiter wasn’t the closest planet. Nevertheless, it became a family tradition to use that phrase.
After some tough times, we all decided to get this. I love it.
