I got this tattoo on the 6th of this month at Cannibal Graphics in Oklahoma City, the artist was Curtis Fletcher. I’m terrified of needles and this was my first tattoo so I was pretty nervous. Instantly, I fell in love with the feeling. I can’t wait to get more!

I got this anchor to represent my friends, who give me hope. My father passed away on May 14th from liver failure a week before my high school graduation.. His illness was long and painful for him and my family, but his death was quick and unexpected. I’ve always been the girl throughout school that did her own thing, I’ve never really had a best friend or a large group of friends. But my senior year I acquired a significant group of friends (guys and girls) that I believe were God-sent angels to help me get through the most painful experience of my life. My friends did everything they possibly could to keep me from drowning in my sorrows, they were there for me every second I needed them and they really just gave me hope that I would someday be OK again. I recently saw a quote that read “A ship should not sail on a single anchor, nor life on a single hope.” I plan to get this tattooed as well on my other arm along with a ship.
