In honor of my six months in recovery from anorexia and self harm, I got this tattoo. A line from a Lights song, Banner. “No weapon can sever the soul from me.”. After all that I’ve gone through and everything I’ve struggled with this seemed absolutely perfect. No matter what happens, I will fight and I will hold on to who I am, because I am a warrior at heart.

Hi my name is is Gracy and this is a tattoo I got on my back. The meaning behind my tattoo is balance, and goodluck. An elephant with its trunk up is an old meaning of goodluck! The elephant is balancing on a ball to resemble the balance of life. This by far was one of the best decisions of my life!

I got this for my dad that passed away last year to lung cancer. He wanted to take our family to California as adults and didn’t get the chance. We went this month and there just happened to be a tattoo shop by the house we rented called Mi Familia. Here’s to you, Dad.
